The Doomed Moss/Doherty Love Affair continues down its sordid shame spiral. From Page Six:

"Kate Moss' druggie boyfriend, Pete Doherty, has been arrested just days before he planned to check himself into rehab and get clean.

Doherty, 25, was busted in North London on Wednesday after he attacked a photographer who'd taken pictures of him doing drugs.

The rocker, who's supposed to go into rehab on Monday, claims Moss has proposed marriage to him.

Doherty, former frontman of the Libertines, is said to have a $1,500-a-day crack and heroin habit.

Moss' pals are worried sick that he'll end up getting her hooked as well."

Oh, those crazy lovebirds! I suppose it IS possible that Kate Moss proposed marriage to Pete Doherty, but it's far more likely that Page Six's LAST Doomed Love Affair update, which reported that Moss had dumped Doherty via text message, is more accurate. It is pretty adorable that he punched a photographer for taking his picture while he did drugs, though. I can see why she'd want him to be her baby's daddy. She's got a good head on her slight, frail, pale shoulders, hasn't she?

I'm already getting bored with this story. Unless they get married at Shane McGowan's flophouse with Keith Richards performing the ceremony and Courtney Love as matron-of-honor, or unless it's a REALLY slow non-news day, I may not relay any more updates...

I am VERY ashamed to admit that I love reading about this love affair! Please don't stop relaying stories about them! Please! I beg of you!

I must say that while the love affair holds little interest, I am secretly reveling in the assumption that Kate Moss is using unnatural means to maintain her sub-100Lb status. I didn't think it was just the product of lettuce and Tae-Bo.
