OMG! I was just checking my referring webpages (once again, in a totally NOT compulsive/obsessive manner) and noticed that I was getting hits from Who was this mysterious person, and why had he put me on his links page? It was hard to say, because unfortunately whenever I tried to view his main page, my computer crashed, probably because my computer totally sucks. But it finally worked and now I know that D.J. Hazard is the actor who played Bill Henry, Bobby Dukes' gruff mentor in "Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story"!!! He was so great in this movie, kind of had a Lawrence Tierney quality (gruff mentor Joe in "Resevoir Dogs"), except much younger and funnier. Here's a mini-bio from his site:

"Ten years of Commercial Art, Theater and Rock Bands brought DJ Hazard to the comedy stage. A founding member of the infamous Ding Ho Club (whose members include Steven Wright, Bobcat Goldthwait, Paula Poundstone, Jimmy Tingle, Denis Leary, Lenny Clarke, Brian Kiley and Barry Crimmins) Hazard went on to tour nearly all of North America, achieving near cult status along the way.

His 1993 release, Lock Up The Planet When You Leave, is a frequent staple of The Doctor Demento Show. His stage work has varied from two touring companies of Jesus Christ Superstar to his own one-man show, Shaving In The Dark.

He can be seen this year in the films Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story and When Stand Up Stood Out and his long-awaited second CD, El Hazardo Rides Again, is in the planning stages."

I may weep with pride. There, I'm weeping! Maybe he's just being polite because I did a little review of the movie (see earlier post) but still, I'm so proud!! "Blackballed" is in my personal list of top three movies of the year!! I won't say how it ranks because second place is first place for losers!

Go see his page immediately:

  • I get very bossy when excited. I guess I'm excited a lot...
