Apologies to the LEGIONS of Felt Up blog fans (all three of you) who have not gotten your fix over the past few days; suffice it to say that the Mistress de Felt is having a very bad week. The dog, thankfullly, is not the problem. It's all business-related, and too horrible and complicated to go into here; this is not, after all, War and Peace. But let's just say a Blue Velvet Benefit may soon be in the making. My band will play! Cheez-Wiz and Ritz crackers! Oh, god, I'm grasping at straws. Or cheese-straws, better yet. On the upside, I did manage to sell a pair of cowboy boots for over $500 on eBay this week, but it actually just made me really, really nervous; the more something goes for, the more likely it is that the buyer will find something wrong and freak out and send me negative feedback. I honestly had no idea these boots would go for so much. They are super cool, with longhorn cattle inlayed (complete with red eyes and nostrils) and very pointy-toed and old, but I thought maybe $150, tops. Of course, I tend to think in terms of 'Austin' (i.e. cheapskate) prices, so we'll just see how it pans out. I've been burned on eBay quite a bit as a seller; it ALMOST makes me not want to do it anymore. But the lure of $500 boots is quite powerful....
